Why are we called Waypoint Baptist Church?

Waypoint is a reference point that helps us know where we are and where we are going. Many are looking for direction and a place to connect. We seek to point people to the
most important waypoint in life, the one who tells us who we are and the Way we are supposed to travel, Jesus Christ. Our mission is to point the way to the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

We identify as Baptist so people can identify certain distinctives about our theology from the outset. We will be unapologetically Baptist in our theology and polity and in our
cooperation with other Baptist groups and denominational entities including the Dakota Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention, and in our support of the cooperative program which gives our community the power to touch
lives around the world.

Church indicates our commitment to gathering together to serve in our community. We are a gathered group of people seeking Christ together.
